There’s something so invigorating about the New Year, something that brings fresh energy and ideas (well, once the Ferrero Rocher have all been eaten and you’ve been prised off the sofa). Already this year I’ve had an amazing reception for my new reviews feature, the inspiration board, the increased variety of ramblings on the Facebook page, and my plans for 2012, where they have been formed enough to share them. In the spirit of trying new things I tempted Sofie from the house at sunrise (oh yes!) a couple of weeks ago, to scope out a new location I’d found, and fallen instantly in love with. Sofie was easily persuaded as it meant she got to wear her new dress, boots and necklace, and play with balloons…

These are beautiful – something very mid-west American prairie about the landscape, really rugged and vast but serene at the same time. I love the pop of colour from the balloons as well, really lifts the whole shot (and Sofie looking completely gorgeous as well of course!)
