Fearless by the Sea {Essex Portrait Photographer}

Something beautiful this way comes…

I meet a lot of wonderful women in this role, particularly fabulous mothers, many of whom sadly don’t feel as fabulous as they might, and so I take extra care to ensure that they are posed in flattering and comfortable ways during family sessions, because being comfortable in your skin shows on your face, it really does!

And sometimes the conversation turns to how we could perhaps find a way to make that feeling last longer, and give those special women something to keep and to feel wonderful about in their own right.

So here’s Gemma. You’ve seen her on my blog before – with bump, with children – and now just as she is, gorgeous and fabulous, as we all see her but maybe she doesn’t see herself everyday. The inspiration for this session was my Fearless portraits – getting the wedding dres out again and making it rock years down the line. Gemma was married on the Greek Islands 5 years ago, and so naturally taking her to the closest thing Essex has to Greece, Thorpe Bay (!) was the ideal location, with a little bit of paddling in the shallows included.
